Being an Adult

So this is what it means to be an adult. Having "issues" with co-workers, and rather than steaming, stewing, and being passive-aggressive, recognizing them, vocalizing, and meeting to discuss. I was having increasing frustration with what felt like a lack of confidence on my boss' part, as well as her not listening to me. So instead of being pissy and letting it come to a head, I suggested we meet, citing those very reasons. So we just got done meeting, and discussed the issues, and went over workloads and upcoming projects, and how we are going to communicate with each other in the future. It was amicable, a lot was explained, there were no tears, no blows, no repercussions. There WAS a feeling of clearing the air, of recognizing each other, of cooperation and teamwork and I am just so pleased. :) Hooray!

Now this burgeoning adult is going to take herself for pho, aka a "hot steamer," aka "hot ball soup."
