Well here it is the end of another perfectly good Christmas party. Here's a picture of my Christmas Cactus to commemorate the auspicious occasion. Now we have a big fat hairy buttload of leftovers, mostly sweets, which I don't eat, so I'm pawning them off on anyone who walks by. Except for the truffles and the Swiss Chocolates, of course. I took some of those, and some delicious cheeses, and even a goat cheese, which I bit into by mistake, and just about retched. But, I do have a friend who likes it, so I'm bringing it home for her. Meanwhile one of my students brought me cookies, and one of my profs gave me a bath set which looks like all kinds of relaxing goodness.

Tonight I have a date with a friend up on Capitol Hill. We'll go to a place called Boom Noodle, to which I have never been, but it looks promising.

If I'm not too full I'll give the full report later. Now I've got some posters to send out, and I will leave you with the image of these mutant carrots I got at the Asian Market last week. As you can see, they are just about as big as my foot. They even have little nublets at the end, like little carrot toes. I should see about making some carrot soup with them. Have lovely evenings.
